Plummeting natural gas production from Europe’s biggest natural gas field hasn’t stopped prices sliding to a six-year low at the start of the winter heating season. Output in the Netherlands, the European Union’s biggest gas producer, slipped 58 percent from a year earlier in May to the lowest level since at least 1982 as extraction was capped at its Groningen field to prevent earthquakes, data from the nation’s statistics office show.
